Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What's the difference between home care and home health care?
A: Home care may include medical and non-medical care, but home care generally refers to non-medical care, such as companionship, homemaking and personal care services provided in one's home. Home health care typically refers to home-based medical care, including skilled nursing care, speech, occupational or physical therapy.
Q: How do I start home care services?
A: The first thing you need to do is contact Haaland Estates and request a free, no obligation assessment. A member of our home care team will come to your home and talk with you and your family to assess your needs and discuss the kind of services we can provide. Once we have a plan, we'll start delivering services.
Q: Are home care services available at night or on weekends?
A: Haaland Estates Home Care provides services from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. seven days a week. Services can be scheduled at other times as needed.
Q: How much does home care service cost?
A: Home care costs vary depending on the services you receive, the service provider and the time it takes to deliver the service. Services provided by certified nursing assistants, such as bathing assistance and housekeeping, cost less per unit of time than services like medication management, which are provided by licensed professional nurses.
