Lymphedema Therapy

Lymphedema refers to swelling that occurs in one arm or leg or both due to a blockage in the lymphatic system.
There is no cure for lymphedema, but it can be controlled through lymphedma therapy, which may include a combination of light exercise, wrapping of the affected limb, massage, pneumatic compression and wearing compression garments.
Our certified lymphedema therapists serve patients throughout the Heart of America Medical Center complex, residents of area nursing homes and home health care recipients.
For more information, please contact Certified Lymphedema Therapists Alli Rognlien, MS, OTR/L, CLT or Susan Hamilton, COTA/L, CLT at 701-776-5261 ext. 2209. A physician's referral is required to receive treatment. To make an appointment, please call department director Kevin Schepp at 701-776-5455 ext. 2267.
