Surgical Clinic
Before Surgery

At the time your surgery is scheduled, your surgeon or a member of the surgery clinic staff will give you preoperative instructions.
The day before your procedure, a surgical nurse will call to:
- Tell you what to expect
- Answer questions
- Give you your check-in time and estimated time of discharge
| It is very important that the staff know exactly what medications you are taking at home. Some medications need to be stopped prior to surgery - others need to be continued. Please remember to bring all your medications with you when you come to the hospital for surgery.
Questions are welcome. During regular office hours, please call and ask to speak with operating room director Florine Seil at 701-776-5455 ext. 2266 or surgery clinic supervisor Deb Schmaltz at 701-776-7000. After hours, call 701-776-5261 and ask that a surgery nurse be paged.
