Heart of America Johnson Clinic in Towner to Close
The Good Samaritan Hospital Association’s (GSHA), Governing Board voted on June 18th to close the Heart of America Johnson Clinic located in Towner.
“The governing board and team at GSHA worked diligently to re-open the clinic in Towner with the primary goal of offering high quality healthcare to the people in the community. This strategic plan was put in place at the beginning of 2017. I would like to thank everyone that supported us over the past 10-months.” States Andrew Shae, GSHS Governing Board President.
The board’s expectation of reopening the clinic was to establish new patients and create additional downstream revenue. However, as patient visits steadily declined and patients either continued to travel to Rugby or to Minot a new patient base was not developed.
“We were warmly welcomed into the Towner community and many patients felt the convenience of our presence. However the level of business we had hoped to accomplish was not there. Our staff did wonderful work and created relationships with their patients which we hope will continue in Rugby. We gave it a noble try.” Adds Patrick Branco, CEO of Heart of America Medical Center.
Patients can still schedule Sports Physicals at the Towner Clinic on July 26 and 31.
Effective on August 1, 2018 the clinic will be closed.
