Breast Cancer Support Group
Reach to Recovery
Reach to Recovery is an American Cancer Society program that helps women and men cope with the breast cancer experience. Reach to Recovery volunteers offer individuals recently diagnosed with breast cancer moral support and perspectives on what to expect. They bring patients printed materials and breast forms to use until they can be fitted with permanent prostheses. Breast prostheses can be purchased in the Heart to Heart Gift Shop located on first floor of HAMC.
All volunteers have completed Reach to Recovery training, have had mastectomies, and have been cancer free for at least one year. For more information, contact Volunteer Services Coordinator Shelley Block at 701-776-5455 ext. 2315.
