Overweight (BMI greater than 25)
Parents or siblings have/had diabetes
Native American, African American, Hispanic or Latino
Physically inactive
High blood pressure (130/80 or higher)
High cholesterol
Abnormal glucose tolerance in previous diabetes test
Gave birth to a baby weighing more than 9 poundsHad gestational diabetes during pregnancy
