"Working in a rural hospital brings me so much joy. I especially appreciate making special connections with patients from our community as we celebrate their achievements, both big and small, as they progress through therapy. I also love the variety of patients our small hospital provides. I’m proud to be a part of the HAMC team!"
"I am thankful to be working for a facility where I am supported and provides a family atmosphere."
"It doesn’t feel like a job, it feels like home. My coworkers all work together to bring exceptional care to our residents. I am so happy to be a part of HAMC."
"Working in a small community, you can actually see the difference our team is making every day."

Heart of America’s Clinics, Heart of America Surgical Clinic, and Heart of America Medical Center offer primary care physicians and surgeons an exceptional place to practice rural medicine.
Heart of America Medical Center is a certified Critical Access Hospital and our staff is highly qualified and dedicated to rural healthcare. Our technology is current and our lab and radiology departments exceed that of many facilities our size. This allows us to provide patients with MRIs, CT scans, mammograms, ultrasounds, and more. Our surroundings are pleasant and our patients value the service we provide.
Visiting physicians provide expertise in orthopedics, audiology, psychology, urology, and podiatry. Our tertiary facility is Trinity Medical Center in Minot, ND, through which we provide our patient’s referrals to specialists and critical care in Trinity Hospital, a Level 2 Trauma Center.
We participate in University of North Dakota School of Medicine programs, including family practice rotations, phase III and phase V training, and physician assistant training. And we participate in student loan repayment programs.
