All HAMC, all volunteers become members of the Auxiliary. In addition to providing volunteer services, Auxiliary members raise money in support of HAMC and Haaland Estates. Over the years, the Auxiliary has raised tens of thousands of dollars for medical equipment, furnishings for public areas, and a multitude of other needs.

Volunteers who have direct contact with hospice patients are required to attend hospice training. Heart of America Hospice pays for the training and all ongoing education.
Most of the volunteer work of the GSHS Foundation happens twice a year. The GSHS Foundation holds two major fundraisers throughout the year through fun events: the Charity Golf Classic and the Greatest Needs Gala. Volunteers for these events help us make them a success.
