Surgical Care
Heart of America Surgical Clinic's general surgeon Dr. Ronald Skipper and visiting surgeons, supported by an experienced and highly professional operating room staff, provide general and specialized surgical care.
Heart of America Medical Center offers pain management consultations. In these appointments, an individualized plan is designed for each patient. Through various modalities, including physical therapy, chiropractic care, massage therapy, nutrition counseling, fluoroscopic guided injections, and trigger point injections, we can treat a multitude of back, muscle, and joint-related conditions.
For patients suffering from headaches, we offer sphenopalatine ganglion blocks (SPG blocks) which is a nerve block procedure to stop pain transmission to the nerve. Occipital nerve blocks are another successful option. Injections of steroids into regions of the greater occipital nerve are used to treat chronic headaches.
Our goal for every patient is to optimize their pain management, their functionality, and improve their overall quality of life.
